Our service organization is well-developed and we have the recourses to do a job anywhere in the world. Engineers may be sent from Göteborg or from any of the service agents we use in many international ports. We are proud
to say that vessels on normal shipping routes can be reached within 24 hours!
A service organization is only as strong as the skill of each individual service member. Cedervall service engineers are trained professionals qualified to tackle any sterntube seal job - repair or service! Our agents are also trained by Cedervall, in our new testing and training centre- everything to keep up a good quality!
Cedervall has a central database with full details concerning every vessel carrying a Cedervall sterntube seal. Having a fully equipped workshop – from casting to machining – spares and repairs can be produced quickly and accurately.

Underwater service – a dirty job, but someone has to do it! The Cedervall underwater service unit is using a unique method implying a complete overhaul of a Cedervall sterntube seal underwater or just a removal of a rope or fishing net! Any kind of regular maintenance can also be done, for example measuring bearing wear down. A smaller boat is used to work from and together with a platform; the service is carried out underwater. Apart from the cost savings that can be done with Cedervall sterntube seals in general, the underwater service also avoids costs for the customer such as off-hire, goods handling and unloading and dockings. |
